Hi – My name is Lucy! You might have noticed my eyes have an unusual sheen to them – that’s because I’m blind! I like to think it just makes me even more special and unusual, though I’ve heard people say I’m a special needs kitty. The only thing I really need is some time to get used to my surroundings and figure out what’s around me. That might mean starting with a smaller space and giving me time to adapt as I slowly venture out into the wilderness of your home.
I would prefer to be the only kitty – I can get a bit thrown by unpredictability and I feel safer when it’s just me and my humans. That might sound a bit funny given that I raised my two kittens wonderfully, but it’s a little different when you’re a momma leading the clan. My foster mom calls me “Momma Cat” and I love it – I always come ambling by when I hear her call my name.
I am also a champion at the litter box. My eyes might be down for the count, but my other senses more than make up for it and help me navigate my way around the house. In exchange for a forever home, I offer you massive doses of biscuits as I am an expert at kneading. Have a sore lower back? Let me at it – I’ll be happy to walk on over and knead the heck out of your muscles! I would love to be the kitty that snuggles with you at night.
