Featured Dog: Nutmeg
Hi everyone! I’m Nutmeg, and I’m thrilled to make your acquaintance. I have been part of the AARF family for a little while and have settled in nicely. I came to AARF by way of a local animal rescue shelter. I wish I had more to tell you about my past, but we are a little stumped on the subject matter. What matters most though is that I’m looking forward to a PAWSOME future and fun filled adventures with you!
Let’s cover the need to know details first. I’m a young, 4 and a half year old, Chihuahua mixed, fellow. I weigh around 13 pounds and sport a striking tan/white coat. My dashing good looks make me one of the crowd favorites. My apologies, I digressed! I have a clean bill of health. I’m housebroken! I’m familiar with the crate though not a fan, especially when it comes to car rides. I’m decent on the leash and a good listener, but I could use a little more training, particularly when it comes to pack walks. You can breath a sigh of relief now. All the boxes have been checked off. Now proceed to the next section, personality.
I’m an absolute love bug once we get to know each other. As a point of transparency, I do get a little overwhelmed in new situations but recover rather quickly. Everyone needs to get his or her bearings, right! Anyhow in no time, your lap will be my own private oasis, and I your shadow. After taking a poll, AARF dubbed me the most loveable dog a person could wish for! How can you beat that? Anyway, besides being a loveable lap dog, I’m also an amazing kisser. Pardon the tongue! So, I’ve told you just how incredible I am with humans but another favorite pastime of mine is snoozing, preferably in your lap.
