Dillon

Dillon

Hi! I’m Dillion, I’m a super handsome 4ish year old boy with a grey coat and white markings and weighing in at a very solid 60 pounds.

If you have treats, you’ll be my best friend. And if you’re my best friend, you get to scratch my butt and give me all the kisses you can! I will return every single one and then some. And then watch me jump and twirl to chase after bubbles, which is pretty much my favorite thing. Actually, my favorite thing is snuggling. But I also like my ball. And running and bouncing, of course. I’m pretty active and athletic, sometimes foster mom says I’m a tigger! Car rides are fun too, nothing like a nice breeze blowing through my ears! Oh and I LOVE dinner time. So much, in fact, that I can’t help but to do a little dance every time to celebrate! Hmm, there is so much good stuff that I love, it’s really hard to choose which is my favorite. But we can figure that out together!

Now that we got all that out of the way, you should know some important things about me. The first is, I had a rough start in life, so for a while everything was scary to me. Thanks to the whole team at Pet-U-Cation, AARF and my awesome foster mom, I am learning to be a lot more brave! Sometimes I still get scared, and make some big noises right back, I’ve started to figure, why be scared when I can be a smiling, happy, goofus! (I don’t know what a “goofus” is, but whenever someone calls me that, they are laughing and smiling at me, so it has to be a good thing, right?!)

Because my beginning was so uncertain, I do very well with set structure and routines. I just know that there is so much fun and joy to be had in my future, I don’t want to waste one minute, so I would like my forever family to be experienced in the ways of us dogs who need to be shown, patiently and consistently, that different people and places aren’t scary. It will help that I happen to be very smart and a good learner! Especially for treats! And I bet that there are lots of lessons for a smartie-pants like me to learn, so my forever people should also be ready to continue my education so that I can continue to learn that I am safe and loved. There’s so much more about me that is awesome (all the ladies melt for my big pittie smile!), so you’ll just have to come and meet me to find out more! If you’d like to take me home, please fill out an adoption application NOW!

My adoption fee is $300 and includes all of my routine vetting, rabies and distemper/parvo vaccinations, FelV/FIV testing (kitties), deworming, spay/neuter surgery, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention, microchip, boarding and transportation costs if applicable, along with an offer for 30 days of free 24PetWatch pet insurance!
