Mirielle’s Story

The name Mirielle is about as close to the word miracle as you can get, and because of lots of caring people, Mirielle is our first AARFie to benefit from the Mittens’ Miracle Fund.

Mirielle came to Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS) after she was found as a stray in very bad shape. She has a terrible wound on her leg that the vet suspects is a thermal/chemical burn, and smells like smoke.

AARF was there for Mirielle – now we need you to be there for AARF. All donations to Mittens’ Miracle Fund will help cover the cost of Mirielle’s corrective bladder surgery and her urinary tract so that the terrible wound on her leg will heal.

UPDATE May 15, 2017

We are thrilled to update Mirielle’s status as: thriving! She is well on the road to recovery, playing and purring like she never went through a horrible abuse ordeal. She’s got a healthy appetite to boot!

We’re still collecting funds to offset the cost of Mirielle’s surgery and round the clock care for her burn wound. Any amount you can give will help ready us to pull the next severe case. Thank you!
