Long body, stumpy legs, lots of heart! That’s me in a nutshell! Hi, I’m Opal! I’m a super happy 1-year-old young lady, around 33 pounds, with a tail made for waggin’! I love EVERYTHING and EVERYONE! All people, all dogs, and even those silly cats. I’ve got lots and lots of energy to burn, so I’d love to go home to an active family who will include me in all of their activities. But once I’m tired I turn into the cutest snugly lapdog you’ve ever seen!
I’m housebroken AND crate trained. I get a little bit excited to go out for walks on the leash, but that’s not really my fault because I’ve had never been trained! I’m a very bouncy and enthusiastic girl, but it’s just because I’m so excited to see everyone I meet!! However, I am a smart girl and am quickly learning how to be calm and polite, with the help of Baltimore Dogworks trainers and my foster mom. For now though, I probably should go to a home that only has kids over 10 or 12 years old or a family with a lot of dog experience. But my foster mom and the volunteers at AARF are working on those things with me. And I am very smart so I pick up on new commands quickly! So far I know “sit,” “down,” “out,” and “wait.”
If you love to smile and laugh, I’m the goofy gal for you!! With me in your house you’ll never be without love and attention — can you provide the same for me??
If you’d like to take me home, please fill out an adoption application!
