Hi world! My name’s Pasta, and you are in store for quite a treat. Life is grand at AARF, but a forever home would sure tickle my fancy. In case you couldn’t guess, I’m a Chihuahua mix. I’m a middle-aged boy, around 6 years, with a ton of life left to live. I weigh around 12 pounds, which goes well with my blond short coat. I’m in good health with no dietary restrictions, and yes, I’m 100% housetrained. I’m not thrilled about the crate but will chill out once in it. I’m magnificent on a leash and rather enjoy a good jaunt. Periodically, I do get distracted if I encounter an unfamiliar being but my recovery time is rather swift. I do know basic commands (i.e. sit and down) and am completely amenable to learning more.
Now let’s talk personality. I’m a huge fan of humans big and small. I’m a total lap dog, and I’m always down for snuggling, kissing, or curling up in bed. I can be a little timid at first with new people and pets, so a slow introduction works best; however, I do warm up pretty fast. Speaking of pets, primarily dogs, I do well with them and even enjoy a little friendly banter every now and then. As a public service announcement, I have a penchant for resource guarding (i.e. food and toys) from canine intruders but please feel free to check me as needed. Please don’t let your imagination run wild…I don’t bite or exhibit any aggressive behaviors in such situations. On a lighter note, when I’m not soaking up the love from my human or being petted profusely, I thoroughly enjoy solo play and have a ball entertaining myself.
Really, I’m not trying to monopolize your time so let’s stop right here. Besides, I don’t want to spill the beans about everything then what fun will there be in getting to know me when you take me home?!?
