AARFily’s of the Week: Zoey, Willa, and Butterfly

AARFilyAug10

Please join us in celebrating the Adoption of Zoey, Willa and Butterfly!

Zoey’s story: Zoey was dumped by her owner when he moved out of his apartment. The landlord knew our wonderful volunteer, Christine, and asked her for help. She became an AARFie and was fostered by Wanda at Highland Groomery.

Zoey found her forever home and now lives with a family that has a 12 year old boy and 7 year old boy girl twins. The kids were so excited to have Zoey join their family that they made two beds out of cardboard boxes and their favorite fleece blankets. Zoey’s new mom shared that “She has been a really sweet cat. Thanks again for the chance to make her part of our family. She loves to sit on the open steps and check out everything going on downstairs.”

Willa’s story: Willa was found abandoned in a wire crate in an alley in Baltimore. She had lots of matted fur around her legs and needed sedation to have it shaved. She joined our rescue and it wasn’t long before she was adopted by Ashley!

Ashley told us that “Willa is doing great and loving her new home. Everyone she meets immediately falls in love with her- she already has friends all throughout my building! Over the Fourth of July she traveled with our family to a lake house. At the lake she loved swimming and riding with me in the kayak. I am so lucky to have her in my life and want to send a big thank you to AARF for helping great dogs like Willa find loving families!”

Butterfly’s story: Butterfly, now called Momma, was found as a stray and was taken to a local animal shelter along with her 6 kittens. She has now been adopted by Crosby and Julie and living a meow-velous life!

They shared that “It’s as if she’s always been a part of our family. She’s got an amazing personality and has no fear. We’re letting her outside (totally supervised with a collar) a little bit at a time and she never goes too far and always comes when she’s called. She’s an awesome cat and we love her so much.”

Congratulations on finding your AARFily Ever After!– Zoey, Willa and Butterfly! Thank you to everyone involved in helping these sweet and deserving animals find their forever families!
