Honoring the Legacy of Geraldine “Gerri” Banachowska
Gerri’s legacy is one of compassion, generosity, and a deep love for those who needed her most.Animal Allies Rescue Foundation, Inc. (AARF) is honored and incredibly grateful to recognize Geraldine “Gerri” Banachowska, whose extraordinary generosity will continue making a difference in the lives of animals for years to come.
Born in 1936, Gerri was an only child who built a successful career at McCormick & Company, where she worked her way up to become Executive Secretary to the company’s president. She never married, but devoted her life to caring for those around her – her family, friends, beloved pets, and her Catholic church and school community.
Gerri’s life reflected a deep commitment to caring for others. She understood the importance of compassion, kindness, and giving a voice to those who could not speak for themselves.
AARF has been fortunate to receive a legacy gift from Gerri’s estate. We are deeply thankful for this remarkable gift and the difference it will make for animals in need. It will help us continue rescuing homeless and neglected animals, providing essential medical care, supporting our foster families, and finding loving forever homes for dogs and cats.
Every animal who comes through AARF’s doors deserves a second chance. Because of Gerri’s generosity, more animals will have the opportunity to receive the care they need and begin a new chapter in a safe and loving home.
We are honored to carry Gerri’s legacy forward and deeply grateful that her compassion for those in need will continue to touch lives.
Gerri’s legacy will live on in every second chance made possible because she cared.
