Lucy

Hello! My name is Lucy (click to watch a video!) and I am a 2-year-old Domestic Short Haired kitty! I am a very special cat and will need somebody willing to give me a little extra help at first. You see, I am blind and can’t see my surroundings. However, it doesn’t really bother me at all and I get around great once I get used to my surroundings. I actually follow sound very well and will even come when you call me, which most cats who can see won’t even do! Right now a very kind foster mommy is taking care of me and helping me in my search for a very special forever home.

My foster mommy says I have a huge personality! She thinks it’s neat that I am a very vocal kitty who loves belly rubs. I am very nice and affectionate and will be happy to cuddle with you. I even get along with other cats as long as we are introduced slowly. I cannot be put in a crate, but I am litter box trained. I just need to know where the box is, and I would prefer a large one. I know how to climb chairs and hang out on the windowsill. Basically, being blind doesn’t mean I am not like other cats; just give me a catnip toy and you’ll understand! I’m not too picky an eater, either, as I love both wet and dry food. I am so excited to find my place in this world with a family I can give all my love. If you contact AARF today we can schedule a playdate, and maybe we will both find something special in each other!

If you’d like to take me home, please fill out an adoption application – and choose me – Lucy! My adoption fee is $150 and includes all of my routine vetting, rabies and distemper/parvo vaccinations, FelV/FIV testing (kitties), deworming, spay/neuter surgery, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention, microchip, boarding and transportation costs if applicable, along with an offer for 30 days of free 24PetWatch pet insurance!
