AARF’s *Revamped* 12th Annual Online Auction

Support the animals of AARF and get a little holiday shopping done (or shop for yourself – we won’t judge! ) all from the comfort of your home!

This year, we’re doing things a little differently! Instead of having 200+ items up for grabs, we’re scaling things back and focusing on fewer, bigger, and more unique items. And rather than posting auction items throughout the week, all of our auction items will be posted on Thursday, November 19 at noon. You’ll then have several days to browse, bid, keep an eye on your favorites and try to snag something awesome before bidding closes on Sunday, November 22 at 8:59:59 PM.

AARF’s Annual Online Auction, now in its 12th year, is our second biggest fundraiser of the year. Last year, more than 330 cats and dogs were given a second chance at a happy life through AARF, many of whom needed lifesaving medical care to get back on their feet. By participating in our auction, you’ll not only enjoy the thrill of the online hunt – you’ll also have the satisfaction of knowing that every bid helps us continue saving animals.

AUCTION RULES & INFORMATION

General rules and answers to most questions are below. Please take a moment to read them before bidding. Rules are subject to change prior to the auction start.

WHEN TO BID

All auction items will be posted Thursday, November 19 at 12:00:00 PM.

Bidding will close Sunday, November 22 at 8:59:59 PM.

All items will close at the same time.

BIDDING

To bid on an item, simply comment with your bid as a new comment on the item’s post. Do not reply to another comment – bids posted as replies will not be accepted.

Bids must be in $5 increments ($5, $10, $15, etc.).

No edited bids will be accepted.

Some items may have a minimum starting bid. Please start your bid at that amount or higher.

Once you place a bid, you may continue to bid as often as you’d like until the auction closes.

WINNERS

All items will close promptly at 8:59:59 PM on Sunday, November 22.

The Facebook timestamp visible to our Admins on each comment will be used to determine the winning bid. No bids received after the close time will be accepted. For example, if the timestamp shows 9:00 PM, that bid is too late.

At the close of the auction, AARF will announce the winner on the post for that item.

Please note: For consistency, we use the Facebook timestamp that our Admins see on each comment as the official time for determining winning bids. Your computer, phone or other timekeeping device may show a slightly different time. The determination of the winner based on the timestamp visible to our Admins is FINAL.

Please remember that this is a charity auction run by volunteers. We appreciate everyone keeping things friendly and respectful. Attempts to harass our team members may result in being blocked from AARF pages.

PAYMENT

Payment must be made within 48 hours of the auction closing.

WINNERS

Winners will receive an email during the week following the auction with instructions on payment and how to redeem or receive their item(s).
